San Mateo County Office Building #3 is an approximately 180,000 square foot building with five above-grade levels and a partial basement. The building structure is cross-laminated timber (CLT) floor structure with supporting Glulam Beams (GLB) and 4 Steel buckling restrained braced frames (BRB) stairwell cores for seismic performance. The design meets County green building standards including zero net energy and LEED Gold. Completion is slated for late 2023.
Located across from the Hall of Justice, this building will improve public experience by offering a one-stop-shop for County services, and providing a vibrant campus with a strong civic identity and representing a sustainable design.
