David is the WoodWorks Regional Director for CO, MT, NE, ND, SD, WY. He works directly with developers and design teams, providing education and free technical support related to the design, engineering and construction of commercial and multi-family wood buildings. He has knowledge to assist with all aspects of wood building design, including allowable heights and areas and construction types, structural detailing of wood and hybrid systems, fire resistance, acoustics, and alternate means of code compliance.

Before joining WoodWorks, David held various positions involving the design and analysis of structures, both for an engineering consulting firm and government entities such as cities and the Armed Forces. David’s experience includes preparation of calculation packages, design details, site layout, and project management. He also has experience in the engineering software industry.
