After a fabulously short career in government and law, I wandered into the world of commercial construction in New York.  It worked well, I moved South to Atlanta and traipsed into the world of timber framing where the all of it captured my imagination.  Three Hundred and sixty-eight frames later it is still an ongoing affair.

At present, the evolution of my work centers on efficient timber systems that are environmentally responsible and cost-effective.  Our present world is confronted by the dual challenges of a labor shortage with a changing perspective of construction and its relationship to environmental necessity.  Green Apple & Woodworks Framing seeks to bridge this chasm with solid design that is simultaneously practical and beautiful.  The emerging world of timber will stumble until we learn to design structures that can be fabricated with the people and tools we possess.
