This tech client accelerated sustainable innovations for its built environment and this design-build team brought those advances to life for the first mass timber facility in the City of Sunnyvale and for this client; a five-story office building that boasts 96% embodied carbon savings versus a concrete and steel building. This all-electric facility is targeting LEED Platinum and powered by a rooftop PV array that provides excess energy to the grid. The flexible core and shell were designed to allow the building to serve various user needs over a long period, extending the building’s lifecycle and minimizing the need for future demolition and renovation.
