Individuals Who Work Here:
Firm Overview
Since 1947, Bassetti Architects has designed places where people learn, work, play, and connect. We believe that architecture is most successful when it reflects client goals and thoughtfully interacts with the surroundings. Our mission is to foster healthy communities through learning and design. The Bassetti staff is comprised of a talented team of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, planners, and office support. Our firm approach is to share our creative synergy and to join with clients and the community in a truly inclusive process with a commitment to excellence.

Our offices in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon work primarily on academic, civic, and cultural institutions for public and non-profit clients. Our goal is to articulate our clients’ visions into projects of superior design and enduring quality. While our approach to problem solving and design is consistent, our end results are unique to client and community goals.

In addition to excellent and responsive design, our services include active public engagement; fundraising support; furniture, fixture and equipment selection (FF&E); programming and space planning; historic preservation and adaptive re-use; high-quality document production; specifications; construction contract administration; and experiential graphics. We have the staffing capacity to meet accelerated schedules and critical project milestones.

Bassetti has been honored to receive local and national awards including the James D. MacConnell, Pinnacle, and Polished Apple awards for excellence in educational facilities planning and design; for historic preservation including the Washington State Valerie Sivinski Award, and for sustainable design including the AIA What Makes It Green? Award.

We Make Great Places for People
We make each project personal. Our principals are hands-on. A successful project is more than simply on time and on budget; it is a deeply rewarding experience created through professionalism, respect, and a belief in the importance of your mission.

We are adaptable. Our working methods are crafted to address your work style preferences, timeline, and budget. Tools that shape a successful process include development of project goals and guiding principles, regular and recurring design review meetings, interactive presentations and workshops, and cost modeling.

We are committed. Our commitment to quality, design integrity, and professionalism builds strong relationships with our clients. We don’t just do a job, we embrace it.
