Locomotive House
Lebanon, ORSteam Engine House
The Albany & Eastern Railroad Company (albanyeastern.com) helped complete a 35-year rebuild to an antique steam engine for its Santiam Excursion Train. And this newly restored steam engine needed a new engine house to protect and store the engine when not in use.
AERC selected our Mass Ply for its new engine house. We built the building components and then shipped those components via AERC’s rail to Lebanon, where the engine house will be fully assembled onsite.
When AERC decided to build a new engine house for their 1924 steam engine, they knew our Mass Ply was the right solution. Mass Ply provides a cost-competitive solution for all structural elements of small and large-scale wood buildings. Our ability to build the engine house components on site, and AERC’s ability to quickly assemble it upon delivery by rail in Lebanon proved to save both time and money.
