Eclipse Engineering was founded in 1998 in Missoula, Montana, and has grown to 6 offices and 70 employees. Today, Eclipse Engineering provides mass timber and CLT engineering and consultation for residential and commercial structures across the United States. Eclipse has worked on CLT design and engineering for over a decade.
Our engineers are innovating in this new space that provides exciting opportunities for beautiful, sustainable structures to stand the test of time.
Few engineering companies in the United States offer the experience, licensing, and industry connections to work on these projects as effectively as Eclipse. We are also licensed in 8 Canadian provinces and territories.

Our spectrum of work in the mass timber and CLT space includes Engineer of Record, deferred/specialty engineering, bracing & rigging analysis for construction, and third-party plan review.
