Benson Polytechnic High School Modernization

The Benson Polytechnic High School Modernization combines the restoration of four historic campus buildings with 135,000 square feet of new construction, creating a revitalized polytechnic campus that supports collaborative, career-focused education. The project includes renovated classrooms, career and technical education (CTE) spaces, a new commons, library, gymnasium, and classroom wings while preserving the architectural character of the original campus through extensive seismic upgrades, façade restoration, and historic rehabilitation. Designed to LEED Platinum standards, the modernization enhances daylighting, sustainability, and flexible learning environments. Mass Plywood Panels (MPP) supplied by Freres Engineered Wood were incorporated into the project as part of the new construction, supporting the campus's modern, high-performance design.
