Case Western Reserve University Adelbert Gym Addition

Cleveland, OH

Originally built as an Armory in 1919, Adelbert Gym was home to the Western Reserve “Red Cats” for over 50 years, with its final varsity season occurring in 1969–70. In 2018, CWRU announced plans to return competitive basketball to Adelbert Gym, requiring a major renovation and expansion. The project includes upgraded seating, lighting, HVAC, locker rooms, restoration of the historic roof and façade, a refinished court, and a new addition featuring a lobby, concessions, ticketing, and a gallery celebrating CWRU athletics history.
