Bret Underwood is a Vice President and Principal of Britt, Peters and Associates. His experience includes higher education, hospitality, K-12, mid-rise, industrial and mixed-use construction projects of various construction materials. His expertise includes hurricane and seismic design, as well as structural condition assessments and American Disabilities Act (ADA) assessments and evaluations.
A Registered Professional Engineer in fifteen states and the District of Columbia, Bret also manages the Parking Deck Solutions Division of the firm which specializes in the structural maintenance and performance of parking structures.
A graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Bret is an active member of the Hampton Roads Association of Commercial Real Estate, Virginia Structural Engineers Council, American Wood Council and American Consulting Engineers Council.
Bret's broad expertise includes the development of complete structural systems of all construction materials for major commercial, educational and healthcare buildings, as well as long-span vibration analysis and three-dimensional structural modeling.
