Chelsea is the WoodWorks Regional Director for Northern California, Nevada and Utah. She works directly with developers and design teams, providing education and free technical support related to the design, engineering and construction of commercial and multi-family wood buildings. A California-licensed Structural Engineer, she has knowledge to assist with all aspects of wood building design, including allowable heights and areas and construction types, structural detailing of wood and hybrid systems, fire resistance, acoustics, and alternate means of code compliance.

Chelsea is a licensed structural engineer in the state of California. Chelsea spent nine years in structural design consulting prior to joining WoodWorks. Her experience is in a variety of sectors including residential, higher education and retrofit of existing and historic structures. She is passionate about sustainability and the use of wood as a building material to reduce the embodied carbon emissions of structures.
