Based out of the Portland, Oregon area, Kate serves as the WoodWorks Regional Director for Oregon, Sourthern Idaho, and Hawaii, providing education and assistance within the AEC and Development Communities toward the use of wood in commercial and multifamily construction. 

She earned a Dual Major Master of Science degree from Oregon State University in Wood Science and Civil Engineering.  With a decade of industry experience in a combination of structural engineering and construction management, Kate brings a unique perspective to every challenge and project she assists with.  She has extensive experience with a multitude of successful projects ranging from commercial mass timber to multifamily light-frame podium buildings and continues to be driven by her excitement for wood as an innovative and sustainable structural material.
