Boise State University Albertsons Stadium North End Zone Expansion
Boise, IDThe North End Zone Project showcases glulam beams and cross-laminated timber (CLT) as the primary structural elements for the concourse club ceiling and roof. The project intentionally selected these mass timber elements to create a warm, inviting architectural expression while reducing the project’s carbon footprint.
The project transforms the fan and student-athlete experience by replacing existing bleacher seating with a permanent, state-of-the-art structure. Featuring 1,600 premium seats and additional enhancements including a new open-air sports bar, expanded concourses for improved movement and access, and additional restrooms and concession kiosks, all with the goal of creating a first-class game-day environment. This thoughtful use of natural wood materials reflects the team’s commitment to sustainability, performance, and a distinctive aesthetic befitting Boise State University.
