Brightwater C4 Building

Mississauga, ON

Brightwater Building C4 is a one-story commercial building located on the waterfront in Port Credit, Ontario, serving as part of the larger 72-acre Brightwater master-planned community. The building showcases innovative nail-laminated timber (NLT) construction, with roof panels that are curved to match the profile of the supporting glulam beams. This unique design aesthetic mimics the waves of adjacent Lake Ontario, demonstrating the versatility of NLT in creating both functional and visually striking architectural forms. The project utilized approximately 128 cubic metres of NLT, highlighting the material's ability to create curvature that would be impossible with most other mass timber options. The building represents modern commercial construction using sustainable wood products in an innovative waterfront development
