Copper Cannon Camp Sport Court

Bethlehem, NH

Large 5' overhangs provide great protection from the rain and sun for this outdoor sport court. European spruce glulam was used and an exterior water based clear coating was added to protect the glulam from UV and water. The roof is covered with structural tongue and groove decking. The frame was value engineered, minimizing the amount of wood fiber needed to build the structure, which helped lower the overall project cost. This was achieved by using a king post truss, and large double struts that transfer the roof-load to the post foot. This is a unique structure mixing mass timber with traditional timber frame joinery.
