Okoboji Elementary School

Milford, MA

A new PreK–4 elementary school designed to serve a growing district, emphasizing safety and 21st-century learning spaces. The single-level school (approximately 108–114k sq ft in size) will incorporate glue-laminated timber (glulam) structural members in its construction – for example, glulam beams are specified for long-span areas such as the gym or commons. Natural materials and nature-inspired themes are used throughout the design to create a warm, inviting environment. Construction began in mid-2025, with completion expected by fall 2027, delivering a state-of-the-art facility that showcases wood’s structural and aesthetic benefits in a modern school setting.
