The Pavilion at Star Lake – Backstage Hospitality Village
Burgettstown, PAThe Pavilion at Star Lake Backstage Hospitality Village demonstrates the versatility of light-frame wood construction combined with volumetric modular prefabrication. Built to support touring artists and crews at the Burgettstown, Pennsylvania amphitheater, the project uses prefabricated wood-framed modules to create permanent, high-quality backstage hospitality spaces.
Constructing the wood-framed modules off site allowed building fabrication and site preparation to occur concurrently, helping accelerate the construction schedule while reducing disruption at the active entertainment venue. The modular approach also provided a controlled environment for framing, interior finishes, building systems, and other components before the units were transported to the site and assembled.
The completed village incorporates high-end architectural finishes, hospitality-level interiors, accessible facilities, and coordinated utilities, demonstrating how prefabricated light-frame wood construction can deliver sophisticated commercial environments beyond its more traditional applications in housing and education.
