UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Administrative Support Building
Oakland, CA
The UCSF Administrative Support Building is a 31,000 s.f., three-story structure and the first mass timber building in the UCSF system. It marks a key step in the campus modernization, targeting LEED Gold certification. The project uses mass timber to enhance the interior environment, user experience, and utility services while increasing assignable square footage. The team applied Target Value Design to integrate a cost-effective steel core, maintaining the desired mass timber exterior for a consistent biophilic experience.
