USC Bloom Football Performance Center

Los Angeles, CA

The Football Performance Center is a 3-story, 180,000 SF, Type IVB structure that serves as the new home for Trojan football, housing football operations, player development, and athlete recruitment spaces. This innovative structure features steel beams supported by steel columns, concrete shear walls, and glulam timber columns. Notably, the integration of a concrete deck and steel beam floor framing with glulam columns is a groundbreaking first for this type of hybrid application. The glulam columns are showcased in the double-height weight room and the full-height central atrium.
