V. Judy Brugh Community Center
New Town, NDThe V. Judy Brugh Community Center is a comprehensive recreational facility designed for the Four Bears Segment of the MHA Nation. The building features an eagle-inspired architectural design with segments arranged to emulate wing feathers. The facility includes a full-sized gymnasium, elevated running track, pool area, bowling alley, golf simulator, movie theater, rock climbing wall, and various community activity rooms. The structure utilizes glulam framing throughout, including 7-ft-deep beams spanning 90 feet in the two-story pool area to create column-free interior spaces. Glulam is also employed in the curved entry canopy and roof overhang accent structures around the perimeter
