Family Building Blocks - Doris's New Place

Stayton, OR

Family Building Blocks – Doris’s Place is a vital community resource located in Stayton, Oregon, dedicated to supporting families and ensuring children are safe, healthy, and ready to succeed in school and life. They partner with families facing overwhelming life circumstances while raising children from prenatal through five years through free and voluntary prevention services.
In 2025, Family Building Blocks is embarking on an exciting new chapter with the construction of a state-of-the-art facility, "Doris’s New Place," located just 0.2 miles from Santiam Hospital. The project has garnered significant support from community partners and donors, including the Oregon Community Foundation – Doris J. Wipper Fund Trustees and the late Ted Freres.
The newly constructed facility reflects a deep commitment to sustainability and innovation through its use of mass timber construction. This environmentally friendly building method not only reduces the project’s carbon footprint but also supports the local timber economy by utilizing Oregon-sourced wood products.
