Boise State University ESI Construction Management Building

Boise, ID

The ESI Construction Management Building supports hands-on learning, student community, dedicated CM education, and industry and alumni engagement, setting a new national benchmark for construction management environments. Constructed with hybrid steel and timber framing featuring glulam beams and veneer-based structural composite lumber (SCL) CLT, the exposed structural systems and energy-efficient design strategies allow students to learn from real-life examples and hands-on experiences.

The building provides classrooms, offices, meeting rooms, laboratory space, a 3,300 square-foot high bay with an overhead crane, and a large outside learning area. The project is made possible through a collaboration with industry partners, Boise State University, and the Boise State University Foundation. The Department of Construction Management has an industry advisory board of more than 40 companies and more than 90 companies actively recruit Boise State construction management graduates.
