Franklin Road Academy Upper School
Nashville, TNThe Franklin Road Academy Upper School and Bracken Green campus expansion introduces a transformative educational environment designed to enhance student experience and campus connectivity. At the heart of the development is Bracken Green, a 38,000-square-foot quad that doubles the size of the existing space, offering a versatile event lawn for ceremonies, outdoor classes, and student gatherings. Framing the northern end of the quad is the two-level, 32,000-square-foot Upper School building, which features signature spaces like the two-story Panther Den and Entrepreneurial Classroom. The design emphasizes openness and daylight, with a linear L-shape layout that connects seamlessly to the gymnasium and the Math & Science Building via a new breezeway. Inside, students benefit from flexible classrooms, dedicated commons areas such as Bradshaw Commons, stair nooks, collaboration rooms, and grade-specific locker zones. The architecture and finishes align with the existing campus, reinforcing campus cohesion while providing FRA Upper School students with a memorable and inspiring academic setting.
