60 Bowden St. - Affordable Housing
Toronto, ON60 Bowden is 35,00 square foot, 8 storey, 50-unit mass timber affordable housing development in Toronto’s Greek Town. The building will serve seniors aged fifty-five and up, specifically those from vulnerable populations. Due to the target population, the building is equipped to provide seniors with a full spectrum of wrap-around health and wellness supports. Common spaces and amenities are designed to enhance the seniors’ quality of life.
The development was created with the Danforth Church congregation and WoodGreen Community Services to incorporate an urban design strategy which maintains the heritage-designated church on the site as a landmark, introduces affordable housing, and improves the existing congregation space.
