Diamond M Truck Maintenance Facility

Laurier, WA

Designed as a durable, high-performance maintenance facility, the Diamond M Truck Shop demonstrates how mass timber can be applied to practical industrial buildings beyond traditional commercial and institutional markets.  The building utilizes mass plywood panel (MPP) walls, roof panels, and rafters as the primary structural system, creating large clear-span work areas while leaving the timber exposed throughout the interior. Galvanized metal wall and roof panels provide a durable exterior enclosure suited to the facility's industrial use.

The project illustrates how engineered wood products can successfully meet the demands of agricultural and heavy equipment facilities while delivering a distinctive aesthetic and reduced construction complexity.
