Seabird Island Community and Cultural Centre

Agassiz, BC

Seagate has been awarded the mass timber installation for the Seabird Island Community and Cultural Centre project. This 20,000 sq ft, two-storey building will honour traditional longhouse design, featuring log columns, glulam/log beams, and GLT floor and roof panels.

Featuring timber posts with a second-floor mezzanine that overlooks a large gathering hall with First Nations art throughout and cultural spaces like a Round Room and Elders Room, the Seabird Island Community and Cultural Centre will serve as a vibrant gathering place for more than 600 people.
