Set in the heart of Liberty Village, 80 Atlantic is Toronto’s first new timber-frame office building to be built in a generation. Integrating natural and high performance materials, it sets a new standard of development, offering high-design work environments and collaborative spaces. 80 Atlantic incorporates exposed mass timber glulam posts and beams with exposed cross laminated timber ceilings, and nail laminated timber (NLT) panels for floors and walls.
Using the fully integrated flooring solution the building infrastucture is hidden under a raised access floor leaving the mass timber beautifully exposed. The raised access floor, underfloor air, modular power and modular finishes create a fully flexible building for future changes and cleaner air for occupants.
80 Atlantic, along with the 60 Atlantic building, were awarded the 2022 Royal Architectural Institute of Canada's Governor General's medal, the highest distinction given to an architectural project in Canada.
