The Brentwood Public Library includes a two-story main building and adjacent one-story community room, connected by a central exterior courtyard. A double-height space over the lobby features an exposed cross-laminated timber ceiling and exposed steel framing. The project includes a CLT diaphragm on the roof and floor plates, which utilize plywood splines and screws to drag lateral loads into steel moment-resisting frames.
