The new Hutton Corporation headquarters was conceptualized with three goals in mind: To showcase our design and construction capabilities; to attract and retain the workforce of the future; and to signal to Midwestern communities that Wichita is a place to find world-class architecture and design.
The two-story mass timber structure is made from glulam columns and beams, and CLT decking for the floors and roof. In addition to mass timber, the building also utilizes many concrete and steel elements, including a 34-foot cast-in-place concrete wall and custom fabricated steel staircase.
The Wichita headquarters building was designed to accommodate 74 employees; it currently houses 50 and was built with room to grow. Hutton has 300 team members across four offices.
