Meridian is the Office and residence for an Organic farm west of Charlotte. It uses the patented mass timber double-shell technique, with the energy storage capacity of resinous Southern Yellow Pine, to be completely self-heating in winter. It also uses the SYP mass timber to dump heat in summer, with supplementary de-humidification by a split system in the inner shell while the outer shell remains ventilated to reduce heat build up.
