David is a Fire Protection Engineer / Fire Safety Engineer who specializes in the fire safety of mass timber buildings. For over 25 years David has assisted with fire testing, developing new timber technologies, authoring fire safety design guides, working with timber product suppliers, meeting with building authorities and fire marshals on approvals and completing fire safety solutions for low, mid and high-rise timber buildings. David works with researchers, architects, engineers, contractors and developers in the fire safety of timber structures. David is currently working with project teams on mass timber buildings located throughout the US and internationally.
