This renewal project was designed to preserve the unique architectural and cultural spirit of the original Kresge College while updating it to the needs of 21st century students, with a much-needed increase in housing, classroom, and student support space. The first phase of the project includes three new residential buildings and an academic building, made with a combination of CLT floor and roof diaphragms, glulam beams, wood shear walls, and light wood-frame walls.
