Dothan City Hall

Dothan, AL

Dothan City Hall is a new civic-focused municipal building designed to showcase the use of sustainable mass timber construction in public infrastructure. The project utilizes Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) floor and roof systems paired with exposed glulam framing to create a warm, transparent, and community-oriented civic environment. The timber-forward design emphasizes sustainability, reduced embodied carbon, construction efficiency, and regional economic development tied to Alabama’s growing timber industry. The exposed wood structure is intended to provide both architectural character and occupant wellness benefits while demonstrating how mass timber can successfully serve municipal and government building applications in the southeastern United States.
